Chayla | Byron High School Senior Photographer

This is Chayla, a rockin’ senior from Byron High School in Byron, MN.  I was so excited when I sat down with her mom to start planning for her senior portrait session.  She is a totally cool, edgy girl with great style!  She knew exactly where she wanted to have her senior pictures taken so we headed out to Mac’s Park Place.  What an awesome location!  Too bad the weather couldn’t cooperate more.  We planned our session for what turned out to be a record breaking cold day, but she didn’t let the weather phase her one bit!  I loved every outfit she picked out and they went perfectly with our outdoor location.  She is completely silly and fun, but man can she pull off a serious stare LIKE. NO. OTHER.  I am in love with everything about this session and can’t wait to show more, but for now here’s her sneak peek!  This just gets me even more excited for the remainder of her session in the fall 🙂  Thanks Lori and Chayla for choosing me as your senior portrait photographer and to her sweet friend Haylee for helping out behind the scenes at her session <3

Colin | Rochester MN Newborn Photography

I have known Leann for years and years and years.  I was so excited when I learned that she was expecting a little bundle of joy and sweet baby Colin is perfect in every way <3  I love simple, classic newborn images that focus on the baby and their little features because they grow and change so fast.  Colin’s little back rolls are enough to make my heart just melt!  Leann and Jerry are both avid ball players so capturing an image with a baseball theme was very important to them.  I think the baseball shot is one of my favorite newborn images to date!  Also, little Colin is a cover model….the image looking down on him in the basket made the cover of the Rochester Post Bulletin 2012 Babies Edition!

Nathan | Rochester MN John Marshall High School Senior Photographer

Last summer I also had the opportunity to photograph Nathan, a 2013 graduate of Rochester John Marshall High School.  I have known Nathan and his entire family for many years so I was thrilled when they booked me for his senior portraits.  Nathan is an awesome go with the flow kind of kid and he was up for anything I asked of him, even when I asked him to flip about 20+ times in a row!  Nathan was one of the senior captains of the wrestling team so it was so cool to see how athletic he was off the mat too 🙂  Nathan loves water and the outdoors so we hit some out of the norm locations all over Rochester.  Wishing him good luck at the University of MN Twin Cities Campus in the fall!

Waterloo, IA Senior Photographer

I have definitely slowed down my sessions and shooting with this pregnancy.  I have 8 weeks to go and find that it’s getting much more difficult to take on the physical demands that come with shooting family and newborn sessions.  I appreciate everyone who has contacted me looking to get on the books.  For now, most of my sessions will start up again in the late fall after my maternity leave.  If you want to get on the books, please let me know as soon as possible as my fall sessions will be very limited.  You can contact me by sending an e-mail to

My computer and I have not been friends this spring and summer.  Major overhaul time!  I have been busy trying to get this computer working as it has been crazy difficult to do even the most simple of tasks and attempting to edit sessions has been a complete nightmare.  I think I am finally to the point where we are back up and running so thank you to anyone who had to wait to get their images.  I truly love and appreciate all of my clients!  Thanks for being so awesome to deal with <3

I have been trying to clean up some of the old files on my computer and just realized it’s probably been a year since I have blogged a full session!  Wow, that’s crazy!  Time to catch up on some of the beautiful clients I have photographed in the past year.

This is Meredith.  She is a 2013 graduate from Waterloo West High School.  She made the trip up to Stewartville last summer for her senior photography portrait experience.  I had a great time and so much fun getting to know her and her mom.  Meredith just has one of those beautiful smiles and personalities that light up a room!  We headed out to Bear Cave Park and Florence Park for her session.   She had so many awesome wardrobe choices and I love how they just popped from the natural surroundings.  Meredith will be rocking the college scene this fall!
