Introducing Baby Cooper!

As many of you know, we were expecting another baby, due September 1st.  Not exactly the best timing for a photographer when the fall is considered our busy season.  I was doing everything in my power to work in as many sessions as I could before our little guy made his arrival.  Unfortunately, babies don’t follow due dates and they come into the world on their own terms!  Little Cooper did just that arriving 16 days early and surprising us all!

I just finished Ryan’s senior portrait session and went into labor 30 minutes later!  Talk about cutting it close.  Since we weren’t expecting his arrival just yet, Brian was out of town visiting his best friend and James was out of town camping with friends.  Luckily, my sister was able to watch Emi while I drove myself to the hospital.  Yes, it was a whirlwind for all of us, but thankfully Brian arrived at the hospital in time and we welcomed Cooper Leonard Parlin into the world on August 16th at 2:50 AM!  Cooper was just a little peanut weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces and measuring 19 inches long <3

Thank you to my amazing clients who were so willing to reschedule sessions, are patiently waiting for product delivery and those that are waiting for their ordering appointments.  I am so grateful that you all selected me to capture your beautiful families and a I appreciate you giving me time to get adjusted to my new family as well <3

Chrissy | Stewartville MN Senior Track and Cross Country Athlete

I have known Chrissy for several years now so I was honored when she asked me to be her senior portrait photographer!  She is a stand out runner for Stewartville High School in both cross country and track and field and one of my son’s former teammates 🙂  It was awesome to see them earn trips to state together in both sports and Chrissy is already picking up where she left off last season.  Of course we had to capture her in her element….running!  How gorgeous was this sunset?!

Chrissy was so fun to work with during her session.  She had so many great ideas and I loved meeting with her and her mom before hand to select her outfits, discuss locations and plan for her senior portraits.  It truly makes a difference!  I have so many great images, it’s going to be tough to narrow them down.  It’s hard to believe that just an hour or so before this next photo that there was a funnel cloud spotted not far from this spot.  Chrissy’s mom even saw it!  The weather this fall has been CRAZY!
