Senior portraits are important. It’s one last chance to capture and document everything about your high school experience. If you are like Libby from Stewartville High School, there are lots of sports and activities that are important to you. These activities had a vital part of shaping who you are today and will undoubtedly have an impact on your future direction in life. That’s why one simple session doesn’t always capture everything. For Libby’s ELITE Senior Portrait Session, we planned out multiple sessions throughout her senior year to document her favorite seasons, sports and incorporate multiple locations to enhance her personality and style! It was EPIC!
We captured 15-16 different outfits on three days of shooting and had so much fun doing it! (Ha, I told you it was epic!) Libby had a lot of options that captured her personality and brought the best accessories. I always say bring more outfits that you think we will need and I will do my best to capture as many of them as possible. With sessions on multiple days, we had the luxury of additional time to photograph all of her favorites 🙂 We were also able to include so many locations which gave Libby a ton of variety to her session and so many more images to choose from. Libby describes herself as outgoing, athletic, casual, adventurous, sweet, academic and religious. I would say we completely nailed each of those descriptions!
During our pre-session consultation, Libby mentioned that she would like to have pictures with a tree swing. Challenge accepted! I found the perfect tree swing and they ended up being some of her favorite images! I love when Seniors have suggestions and requests to make their senior portraits stand out from everyone else.
This photo ^^^^^ (above left) was Libby’s favorite from her session <3 Doesn’t that alley have just the most gorgeous light?! I have had so many people comment on how much the love that dress. I completely agree!Libby felt completely at home dressed casually with one of her many hats! She is totally a hat person.
Libby’s biggest accomplishment was winning state volleyball title as a sophomore! She is also the current team captain. We live in a town where volleyball is everything so Libby was completely on board for an urban sportrait session to give her images a completely different look. That colored fog is totally epic! Libby is always a bright smiley person so it’s hard to go long without her cracking a huge smile and laughing. We did get to see her serious side and her mom and sister loved that look!During the winter, we hit the Stewartville High School gym for another session capturing her basketball skills! The photo above was another of Libby’s favorites! #wearetigersI always aim to capture a variety of images during all of my sessions. Posed, action shots, dramatic lighting, natural light. You will see it all! As a three sport athlete, Libby is busy year round, but if you ask her which is her favorite sport, she will likely say track! She plans to attend Bemidji State University and compete in track and field next year. Libby runs hurdles, relays and high jumps for the Tigers. We had fun capturing these images highlighting her favorite events and she got a decent work out in too! Coach Dawn Miller would be proud 🙂
Libby, thanks for selecting me to capture these epic senior memories for you! I can’t wait to see what your future holds.
