Carissa was the lucky winner of the Elite Portrait Session from the POGS donation. I love supporting our seniors so it is something I have donated to since 2015 as a way to fundraise for the senior post-graduation party. The lucky guy or girl gets treated to an awesome Elite portrait experience. Multiple sessions, multiple locations, even multiple seasons. The Elite session is really the best option for anyone looking to document their full senior year and capture all that is important to them.
First, we started planning Carissa’s Elite session with a consultation. She had the opportunity to try on all of her outfits, discuss hair and makeup and plan out the locations. Planning helps to make her senior portraits the best representation of what is important to her.
On session day, we started with a ring light studio session to capture a studio head shot. It’s the best way to capture your hair and makeup before you are out in the elements. Next stop for her Elite session, my favorite field of gorgeous white flowers. I love how they are always in bloom during senior portrait time.
Carissa also wanted to have senior portraits in downtown Rochester, MN. We started out in a private garden with the most beautiful flowers in full bloom. Then stopped in the Gonda Building of Mayo Clinic with the gorgeous Chihuly Sculptures as a back drop. We even capitalized on the impressive architecture of the outside building before taking her Elite session over to Historic Third.
Carissa definitely wanted to capture the ambiance with the lights strung across the sidewalk and the cute sitting areas outside the businesses like the Half Barrel, Tap House and Grand Rounds. It’s hard not to feel like a model when you have an audience of patrons watching your session and complimenting how great you look!
We even got to capture her love for volleyball with an urban sportrait session. No gym required 🙂
The Elite session offers us the flexibility with multiple dates so for our second session we were able to bring along Carissa’s cute little dog to one of my favorite Stewartville locations. It also gave her the opportunity to have a completely different look with straight hair and more casual outfits.
To cap off the evening, we had a awesome sky for some images of her with her golf clubs. Of course, I love being able to work in a great silhouette into all of my sessions!
So much variety and so many different looks. Carissa, you killed it <3
